Yes. Do not believe claims of entirely maintenance free gutter guards. You may occasionally need to sweep debris off the top of Holey Cap! gutter guards if the wind does not. However, this is much easier than cleaning out your gutters. Our guards are designed to help maintain the performance of your gutters during winter ice and snow, but it is recommended to remove snow from the roof periodically as part of regular maintenance to your roof and gutter system.
Yes. Some inside miters at the end of a roof valley can cause challenges for any gutter guard. If you see rainwater running over in these locations, you may want to install a corner deflector along the outside edge of the gutter. This will help push the water to an area further out and not over-burden the guard in one location. Our rainwater deflector is made from the same aluminum material and can be purchased through our website. Please note that we offer inside and outside deflectors so be sure to order accordingly.

We currently offer 3 funnel sizes online. The size of each funnel is based on the bottom measurement of your gutter. 2 1/4" funnels will install onto 5" fascia style gutters with a bottom dimension of 2 1/4". 2 1/2" funnels will install onto 5" fascia style gutters with a bottom dimension of 2 1/2". 5K funnels will install onto 5" Colonial or Ogee gutters with a bottom dimension of 3 1/4".
